Job Description

Overview

As a Junior Optimization Analyst, you will support the Optimization team in helping clients improve performance and outcomes. You’ll work closely with the Optimization Tech Lead, who will provide guidance, training, and support as you grow into your role.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse performance data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Adopt a data-driven approach to understanding performance, learning how to analyze trends and patterns in payment data to support decisions and recommendations.
  • Support the team by gathering, organizing, and validating data for analysis and reporting, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Begin learning the logic and workflows behind PIQ or similar payment orchestration tools, including how they route transactions, handle fallbacks, and apply optimization strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze performance data, with support from the Tech Lead, to understand key trends and help identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and summaries that provide insights into how clients are performing against key metrics.
  • Support the delivery of a strong service experience by helping track client needs, issues, and feedback that contribute to satisfaction and retention.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry trends (such as payments, regulations, and tools) to help the team stay informed.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for system and process improvements that could benefit scalability, performance, or reliability.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and workshops, with a focus on continuous learning and skill development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (such as Product, Support, and Client Success) to stay aligned on client feedback, product changes, and business goals.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback from a junior perspective to support ongoing improvements to services and operations.
  • Be open to new challenges and assist in various projects that contribute to client success.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in payments or a similar role, ideally working directly with clients.
  • 1 year of experience in the iGaming industry.
  • At least 6 months of hands-on experience using PaymentIQ.
  • Basic understanding of how payment systems and processes work.
  • Comfortable talking with clients and building strong working relationships.
  • Clear and confident communicator, both in writing and speaking.
  • Able to analyze data and use it to support decisions or suggestions.
  • Well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks or projects.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine interest in learning and growing in the payments or iGaming industry.
  • Willingness to take feedback and use it to improve.
  • A collaborative mindset – enjoys working with others to solve problems and reach goals.
  • Curious and self-motivated – seeks to understand the “why” & “how” behind processes and client needs.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to new tools or workflows.
